ON-LINE RESOURCES
With a telephone line and a computer, you can tap into the enormous resources of
computerized databases and on-line services.Electronic bulletin boards and on-line
services are similar to a library without walls. They can provide access to databases,
private electronic mail, library card catalogs, news and, of course, bulletin board
discussions.

A variety of commercial on-line services connect users to Internet and to other
electronic bulletin board systems, often through a local telephone call. The more
popular services are America Online, CompuServe, Delphi and Prodigy. Commercially
available computer utilities like Gopher, VERONICA and Global Network Navigator can
search information sources throughout the Internet for information. Like any computer
function using the Internet requires knowledge and practice.
Here are a list of resources to help you find information on new technology from
electronic bulletin boards.
