Ned Nisson, editor of Energy Design Update, has
established Energy Design Online (EDO), a new service that
offers builders, researchers, architects and journalists a
unique collection of research and communications tools.
Research resources include a periodicals section that
contains over ,000 articles from publications such as Energy
Design Update, Journal of Light Construction and
Environmental Building News, a products database drawn from
Iris Communications Energy Source Directory and an
extensive database of professional abstracts. A number of
electronic forums allow users to post public messages that
can then be read and replied to by other users. These forums
are also connected to the Internet, and all EDO members
receive a private Internet address from which they can
exchange messages with any other user on the Internet system.
