publishes a newsletter, an annual directory of solar-related businesses 
in the state and other materials related to solar energy technology. 
FSEC’s library, which is open to the public, has one of the most 
extensive collections of alternative energy-related documents in the U.S.

FLASEIA is an organization dedicated to promoting a thriving market for 
solar energy in Florida. The association speaks out on solar legislation 
and regulatory policies, codes and standards, better solar financing and 
broad consumer awareness. FLASEIA has a Solar Hotline providing information 
regarding DHW, Pool, Photovoltaic, Air-conditioning, DHW Heat Pumps, Plumbing 
and Dedicated Heat Pumps. This hotline is a sales and service referral program.

FlaSEREF was organized and incorporated as a charitable foundation under the
sponsorship of FLASEIA to further the development and use of solar energy in 
Florida. The organization is designed to conduct, develop and distribute 
educational forums and activities on solar energy as well as stimulate interest 
in solar energy and related technologies. This information is available to the 
general public, members, and institutional and governmental bodies.

Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)

Florida’s Small Business Development Centers have in place an Energy
Conservation Assistance Program designed to help owners and operators of
small businesses conserve energy and implement energy projects. Services 
provided include evaluation of energy systems cost and use. Contact the 
SBDC serving your area for information on obtaining a free energy survey, 
energy-related assistance or loans for energy projects for your business.
